Medical Science Liaison Oncology - Avslutad

The client company is one of the large international pharmaceutical companies working with projects from early discovery to the market. They work both with pharmaceuticals and consumer health products. The Medical Science Liaison will build scientific partnerships with health care professionals and decision makers within the oncology area. He or she will strategically prepare and support the development, launch and commercialisation of drug products through medical information sharing, education of the scientific community and Key Opinion Leaders, clinical trial support and by scientific exchange seeking external insight to shape the client company''''''''s commercial and development programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop professional relationships, build advocacy and gain contributions of decision makers within the oncology area
  • Provide scientific information and data to health care professionals to ensure quality and accuracy of medical and scientific information of new treatment options including client company products
  • Liaise with and provide up-to-date medical support to relevant external groups to facilitate listing of products in formularies and to influence medical guidelines and health economic discussions
  • Provide speaker training to health care professionals to support the best use of new therapies developed and commercialised in the oncology area by the client company
  • Share insights that may impact client company development plans internally
  • Contribute to identification of appropriate clinical investigators and sites for client company sponsored clinical trials within the oncology field
  • Support the investigators and sites as needed as part of a cross-functional team
  • Identify clinical investigators with research proposals that are consistent with client company product development strategies and facilitate processes including study completion, presentation and publication, as appropriate
  • Collaborate with client company colleagues to actively support medical and scientific meetings and cross-functional project teams
  • Evaluate impact of competitive information
  • Provide medical support and training (i.e. disease state and product) to client company colleagues (i.e. sales representatives, CRAs) •            Build and foster a culture that values, recognizes and generates a business oriented, customer focused high performance

Education and experience:

  • MD, PharmD, Pharmacist, PhD or other life science degree with solid medical background and proven sales competences, influencing skills, clinical research insight and business and market knowledge
  • Qualified experience of work within the Oncology area
  • Knowledge and experience that makes the right candidate able to communicate with Key Opinion Leaders in a respected way
  • Access to a broad and qualified personal network with people that influence areas of interest for the client company
